Add a Misc Item
Add
Go to Costbook - Misc Items.
Click the + New Misc Items button to open a new page.
Enter the following information
Details
Misc Item (required): This is the name of the item.
Description (optional)
Spanish Name (optional - only visible if Spanish is set as the Alternate Language)
Settings
Division (required): The division that this item would typically belong to. This will affect the pricing displayed on this page. This item can be used on an Estimate in any division.
Cost Code (required): This can be used for grouping (if desired) on Job Management reports.
Unit Type: How will this item be measured. Only applicable if Unit Pricing is enabled.
Sales Taxable: Will Sales Tax be applied on this item.
Status
Active
Hide on Proposal: The item will not be displayed on the Proposal even if the specific Item Type is selected.
Is General Condition for Construction: This Misc Item will be available to use as a General Condition on Construction Estimates.
Is General Condition for Maintenance: This Misc Item will be available to use as a General Condition on Maintenance Estimates.
Pricing
Unit Cost: The unit cost of this item.
Unit Pricing: If the Misc. item is not a Unit Pricing item, uncheck the Unit Pricing checkbox. In this case you will specify a cost instead of a quantity when adding the item to an estimate.
Purchasing Tax: The purchasing tax that is applied to this item when it is purchased. This will be rolled up into the cost.
Profit: The default margin from the Division. This can be changed by clicking on the Override checkbox.
Unit Price: This is calculated by adding the Wage, Burden, OH and Profit. It can be overridden by clicking on the Fixed Price checkbox and entering a price manually.
Click the Save & Close or Save button to save the Miscellaneous item to the Costbook or Close if you would like to discard the entry.
